The High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Zealand successfully conducted a Mobile Consular Service at Te Awa School, Napier, on 26 September 2026, bringing essential consular services closer to the Sri Lankan community in the Hawke’s Bay region.
The programme was conducted under the leadership of Mr. Prasanna Gamage, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka to New Zealand, with the participation of officials of the High Commission. The initiative enabled members of the Sri Lankan community in the Hawke’s Bay region to access consular services locally, without the need to travel to Wellington.
During the programme, High Commissioner Gamage delivered a detailed presentation on the role and functions of the High Commission and engaged in an interactive discussion with members of the Sri Lankan community, providing an opportunity to raise questions and exchange views on matters of interest to the community.
