Organised by the United Sri Lankan Association in Auckland (USLA), the High Commission of Sri Lanka in New Zealand successfully conducted a Mobile Consular Service at the Epsom Community Centre in Auckland on 17 October 2026, bringing essential consular services closer to the Sri Lankan community in Auckland and surrounding areas.
The initiative aimed to improve access to consular services for Sri Lankan expatriates residing in Auckland and neighbouring regions, providing them with a convenient opportunity to access essential services without the need to travel to Wellington. The programme received an encouraging response from the community, with a total of 400 applications received and facilitated on-site during the event.
The High Commission of Sri Lanka extends its sincere appreciation to the USLAโAuckland, all sponsors, and volunteers for their invaluable contributions to organising and facilitating the successful conduct of the programme. The High Commission also acknowledges the support and cooperation of all other individuals and community members who contributed to the success of this initiative.
The High Commission of Sri Lanka remains committed to providing efficient, accessible, and people-centred consular services to the Sri Lankan community throughout New Zealand. It will continue to work closely with community organisations to ensure that essential consular services are accessible to Sri Lankans across the country.
