Prasanna Gamage, High Commissioner of Sri Lanka visited Data Torque office in Wellington and met with Mr. Vernon Kay, CEO and other senior executives. Data Torque is a leading IT company in New Zealand, which has operations in more than 20 countries, and specialises in tax collection procedures and transformation strategies. The visit provided a valuable opportunity to explore potential partnerships and collaboration opportunities in Sri Lanka for Data Torque.
High Commissioner Gamage briefed the Data Torque management of the current economic, political, and other important developments in Sri Lanka, and the flourishing bilateral relations between New Zealand and Sri Lanka. He also explained Sri Lankaโs world renowned and robust IT sector and opportunities available for overseas businesses in that sector.
The High Commissioner also met with the Sri Lankan IT experts employed at Data Torque and exchanged views on the sector, opportunities, and potential areas for further enhancement.
